I am lucky to have a large garden, deep in the Chilterns of rural Hertfordshire. I also have a garden history background and in this blog I will guide you through those knotty problems of how to create a beautiful garden and at the same time share with you some surprising stories from our collective past. You may have heard of Tulip fever but Orchid fever? Arcadia has been long sought after but never easily achieved.
